April 11-13, 2012, at the RIKEN Advanced Institute for Computational Science (RIKEN AICS) in Kobe, Japan. Accommodations for the meeting will be provided at Hotel Area One Kobe. Transportation to and from the conference venue will be by rail from the conference venue at Riken AICS, which is walking distance from Hotel Area One. The second day of the meeting (April. 13th) will run through the day. We will have internet access provided during the meeting. Reception on April 11th: On April 11th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, there will be a reception with drinks and light hors d'oeuvres in the restaurant on the 2nd floor of Hotel Area One. Dinner is on your own.
Banquet on April 12th: On the evening of April 12th, there will be a banquet for meeting attendees on board a Concerto Dinner Cruise in Kobe harbor. The conference bus will leave from RIKEN AICS around 6:00pm, stop at the hotel for 15min. at approximately 6:30pm so that attendees can drop off their bags, and then take everyone to the Concerto dock. The dinner cruise will leave the dock at 7:20pm. (There is space available at the banquet for meeting attendees to bring a guest, for an additional charge of 8000¥.)
Invited attendees will receive a link by email enabling them to register. After receipt of link, all attendees to the IESP Workshop will need to register for the workshop as soon as possible to coordinate planning
Accommodations are being booked for workshop participants at Hotel Area One Kobe.
You SHOULD NOT make your own hotel arrangements but you do need to register for the meeting using the link to the registration page that should have been provided to you by email. The hotel Web site provides more details about the hotel and its amenities. Of particular note, "complimentary wireless (high speed) Internet access" is available in both the public areas and the guest rooms of the hotel.
